About the tides at Bayou Chene

Bayou Chene usually gets one high and one low tide a day, known as a diurnal tide. Water here rises and falls only about 0.9 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Louisiana stations on this site.
