About the tides at Blubber Bay
Blubber Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The range is large, about 2.29 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 26, with a range of 3.69 m. Neap tides follow on October 25, when the range shrinks to 1.98 m.
This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Powell River, 8.8 km away, where high tide comes about 9 min earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
