About the tides at Bolinas Lagoon

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.9 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most California stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.3 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 5.3 ft. Neap tides follow on October 31, when the range shrinks to 2.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 5.3 ft on December 23, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on June 6.
