About the tides at Bridgeport
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 0.71 m between high and low. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.07 m, comes on October 12, and the smallest, 0.57 m, on Tuesday.
Predictions for Bridgeport come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. It was established in 1992. The nearest other station is Summerford, 8.7 km away. Heights are measured from chart datum, which in most Canadian tidal waters is set near the lowest normal tide. That is why lows here rarely go below zero.
