About the tides at Burwell Bay

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.4 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Sewells Point, Hampton Roads. The average range is about 2.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 3.4 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 1.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.5 ft on September 30, and the lowest is −1.0 ft on January 23.
