About the tides at Cape Coral Bridge

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.8 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 1.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 8, when the range shrinks to 0.8 ft.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Iona Shores, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 19 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Point Ybel, 0.4 mile northwest of.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
