About the tides at City Point

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.8 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 2.9 ft. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 2.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.1 ft on October 26, and the lowest is −0.4 ft on January 24.
