About the tides at Crater Bay

Crater Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The range is large, about 8.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 10.7 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 15.3 ft. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 3.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.7 ft on November 25, and the lowest is −3.3 ft on July 5.
