About the tides at Crowbush Cove

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.37 m, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Prince Edward Island stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Tuesday, with a range of 0.74 m. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 0.01 m.

The nearest other station is St Peters Bay, 8.3 km away, where high tide comes about 23 min earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
