About the tides at Dover - Wellington
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 0.66 m between high and low. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.13 m, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 0.43 m, on Sunday.
Predictions for Dover - Wellington come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. It was established in 1991. The nearest other station is Glovertown South, 20 km away, where high tide comes about 8 min later. Heights are measured from chart datum, which in most Canadian tidal waters is set near the lowest normal tide. That is why lows here rarely go below zero.
Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
