About the tides at Fort Lauderdale
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Andrews Ave. Bridge, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The average range is about 2.0 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.3 ft. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 2.5 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 1.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.1 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −0.6 ft on July 4.
