About the tides at Greely Fiord

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 0.17 m, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Nunavut stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 31, with a range of 0.33 m. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 0.10 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
