About the tides at Jenny Lind Island

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.05 m, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The mean range is small, about 0.29 m, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Nunavut stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 0.44 m. Neap tides follow on Tuesday, when the range shrinks to 0.32 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 1979. The nearest other station is Kean Point, 41 km away, where high tide comes about 2 h 2 m earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
