About the tides at Kings Bay (inside)
Kings Bay (inside) has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. With a mean range of about 9.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 12.3 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 15.1 ft, comes on Sunday, and the smallest, 5.9 ft, on October 16. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 15.8 ft on November 25 and bottom out at −3.5 ft on July 5.
Predictions for Kings Bay (inside) come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here in 1997 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Kings Bay, 9 mi away.
