About the tides at Lax Kw'alaams

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Lax Kw'alaams, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The tide range here is very large, about 3.88 m on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most British Columbia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 5.80 m. Neap tides follow on October 16, when the range shrinks to 2.36 m.
