About the tides at Longview

Longview has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. On a typical day the water moves about 3.7 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Washington stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.5 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.7 ft, comes on Monday, and the smallest, 2.5 ft, on October 19. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.1 ft on May 8 and bottom out at −2.4 ft on September 11.
