About the tides at Massacre Bay

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. Water here rises and falls only about 1.9 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.7 ft, comes on Friday, and the smallest, 1.8 ft, on October 8. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.0 ft on December 23 and bottom out at −1.6 ft on June 6.
