About the tides at Massacre Bay

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 2.1 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 5.2 ft, comes on October 29, and the smallest, 1.2 ft, on Friday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 5.0 ft on December 23 and bottom out at −1.6 ft on June 6.
