About the tides at Miner Island

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Elfin Cove, Port Althorp. The range is large, about 7.7 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.2 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.1 ft on July 5.

Miner Island is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Elfin Cove, Port Althorp: highs come about 8 min and lows about 6 min earlier than there.
