About the tides at Montague Harbour

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 1.60 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most British Columbia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Thursday, with a range of 2.76 m. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 1.17 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 1964.
