About the tides at Point Chauncey
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at San Francisco, San Francisco Bay. The average range is about 4.1 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.8 ft. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 6.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 1.3 ft.
