About the tides at Port Townsend

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 5.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 9.6 ft. Neap tides follow on October 13, when the range shrinks to 2.3 ft.
