About the tides at Richibucto Cape
Tides at Richibucto Cape are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The average range is about 0.63 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most New Brunswick stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 1.00 m. Neap tides follow on October 10, when the range shrinks to 0.25 m.
This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Richibucto Bar, 7.2 km away, where high tide comes about 26 min later. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
