About the tides at Rimouski

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 2.59 m, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most Quebec stations on this site.

Rimouski is a CHS station with a live water level gauge. Predictions come from the station's own tidal analysis. It was established in 1984. The nearest other station is Pointe-au-Père, 5.4 km away. Heights are measured from chart datum, which in most Canadian tidal waters is set near the lowest normal tide. That is why lows here rarely go below zero.
