About the tides at San Francisco

San Francisco has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at SAN FRANCISCO (Golden Gate). The average range is about 4.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 6.3 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 1.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 7.4 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −1.8 ft on December 24.
