Santa Ana River entrance (inside) has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Los Angeles, Outer Harbor. On a typical day the water moves about 2.4 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most California stations on this site.
