About the tides at Sonora
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Sonora, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The average range is about 1.21 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 1.55 m. Neap tides follow on Tuesday, when the range shrinks to 1.16 m.
This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Liscomb Harbour, 8.2 km away. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
