About the tides at Tarpon Bay

Tarpon Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. Water here rises and falls only about 1.6 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.3 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.6 ft, comes on Monday, and the smallest, 1.5 ft, on October 20. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 3.0 ft on October 29 and bottom out at −0.8 ft on January 21.

Predictions for Tarpon Bay come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 1978 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is St. James City, 3 mi away. For tidal currents, see Point Ybel, 0.4 mile northwest of.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
