About the tides at Texaco Dock

Tides at Hackberry Bay are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The mean range is small, about 0.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Louisiana stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 30, with a range of 1.5 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 0.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.5 ft on October 3, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 21.
