About the tides at Wainwright
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.2 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. Water here rises and falls only about 0.5 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 0.8 ft, comes on October 13, and the smallest, 0.3 ft, on October 7.
Predictions for Wainwright come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here in 2021 to set up these predictions.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
