About the tides at Washougal

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.7 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The mean range is small, about 1.2 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Washington stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.9 ft. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 1.6 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 0.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.1 ft on November 25, and the lowest is 0.0 ft on July 6.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 1940 to 2016 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Portland Morrison Street Bridge, 15 mi away, where high tide comes about 3 h 3 m earlier.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
