About the tides at Arnolds Cove

Arnolds Cove has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The average range is about 1.48 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Newfoundland and Labrador stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 2.08 m. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 1.22 m.

This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. It was established in 1968. The nearest other station is Come By Chance, 6.0 km away. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
