About the tides at Bainbridge Point
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 9.4 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.8 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 14.3 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 7.6 ft, on Friday.
Predictions for Bainbridge Point come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. NOAA measured the tide here from 1978 to 2002 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Chenega Island, 6 mi away. For tidal currents, see Bainbridge Pass North.
