About the tides at Chenega Island

Chenega Island has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. With a mean range of about 9.4 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.8 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 15.1 ft, comes on October 25, and the smallest, 5.6 ft, on Friday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 15.2 ft on November 25 and bottom out at −3.5 ft on July 5.
