About the tides at Bamberton

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.49 m, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The range is large, about 1.56 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most British Columbia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 3.40 m. Neap tides follow on October 27, when the range shrinks to 0.63 m.

Bamberton is a CHS station with a live water level gauge. Predictions come from the station's own tidal analysis. It was established in 2021. The nearest other station is Brentwood Bay, 4.2 km away. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
