About the tides at Banc du Cap Brûlé

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.60 m. The tide range here is very large, about 4.31 m on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Quebec stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 5.97 m. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 2.57 m.

Banc du Cap Brûlé is a CHS station with a live water level gauge. Predictions come from the station's own tidal analysis. It was established in 2006.
