About the tides at Barrow Offshore

Barrow Offshore has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. Water here rises and falls only about 0.5 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 0.8 ft, comes on October 28, and the smallest, 0.2 ft, today. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 1.3 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −0.4 ft on April 9.
