About the tides at Beecher Pass
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Wrangell Narrows, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The tide range here is very large, about 13.0 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 15.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 21.7 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 8.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 18.6 ft on January 23, and the lowest is −4.1 ft on December 24.
