About the tides at Belfast

Belfast has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. With a mean range of about 7.5 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 10.1 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −2.1 ft on January 23.
