About the tides at Bivalve

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Maurice River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. With a mean range of about 5.7 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most New Jersey stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 6.3 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.6 ft, comes on Saturday, and the smallest, 4.3 ft, on October 18. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 7.3 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 24.
