About the tides at Black Rock Point

Black Rock Point has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 0.83 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Nova Scotia stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 13, with a range of 1.72 m. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 0.91 m.
