About the tides at Brewer Point

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.4 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at Baltimore, Fort McHenry, Patapsco River. The mean range is small, about 0.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Maryland stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 25, with a range of 1.1 ft. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft.
