About the tides at Brighton

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Crescent City, Pacific Ocean. With a mean range of about 5.6 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 10.5 ft, comes on October 28, and the smallest, 4.2 ft, on October 31. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 10.0 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −2.2 ft on June 6.

Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Crescent City, Pacific Ocean, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Nehalem, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 26 min later. For tidal currents, see Tillamook Bay entrance.

Predictions are based on Crescent City, Pacific Ocean.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
