About the tides at Calibogue Cay

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Calibogue Cay, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. With a mean range of about 6.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 9.4 ft, comes on October 27, and the smallest, 5.2 ft, on Monday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 9.3 ft on October 27 and bottom out at −1.8 ft on January 23.
