About the tides at Bull Creek
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.8 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. The range is large, about 6.9 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most South Carolina stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 9.5 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 5.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.3 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.9 ft on January 23.
Bull Creek is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fort Pulaski, Savannah River: highs come about 28 min and lows about 12 min later than there. The nearest other station is Savage I., 1 mi away, where high tide comes about 18 min later. For tidal currents, see Haig Point Light, NW of, Cooper River.
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River.
