About the tides at Cape Cod Canal, RR. bridge
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 3.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.0 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 5.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 2.0 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 5.3 ft on December 25, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 1955 to 2000 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Gray Gables, 0.6 mi away, where high tide comes about 45 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Cape Cod Canal, Railroad Bridge, midchannel.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
