About the tides at Cape Egmont
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.15 m, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The average range is about 0.63 m. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 1.33 m. Neap tides follow on October 9, when the range shrinks to 0.60 m.
This is a prediction station. CHS calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. The nearest other station is Cap Pelé, 22 km away, where high tide comes about 33 min earlier. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.
Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
