About the tides at Cape Sagak

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Unalaska. The average range is about 2.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 15, with a range of 4.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 14, when the range shrinks to 1.5 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 6.1 ft on December 23, and the lowest is −1.6 ft on June 6.

Cape Sagak is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Unalaska: highs come about 183 min and lows about 196 min earlier than there. The nearest other station is Adugak Island, 7 mi away, where high tide comes about 2 h 30 m later.
