About the tides at Nikolski

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The average range is about 2.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.0 ft. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 5.2 ft. Neap tides follow on October 9, when the range shrinks to 2.0 ft.
