About the tides at Carlos Point

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The mean range is small, about 1.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.5 ft. The next spring tides peak on Monday, with a range of 2.9 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 1.6 ft.
