About the tides at Cedar Island

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.6 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at CHARLESTON (Customhouse Wharf). The average range is about 3.9 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most South Carolina stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 5.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 4.3 ft.
